It was a very cold and windy morning on the 19th of December at Tumling, Nepal. My friend Pankaj and I reached there the day before; it was a wonderful trek. We woke up early in the morning and walked to the location to catch the first rays of the Sun hitting the Sleeping Buddha. But to our disappointment, it was cloudy. After waiting for 20-25 mins, we went back to the lodge to get ready for the onward trek.
After some time, as we were getting ready, we heard our guide Roshan calling us and informing us that the clouds were clearing. We may get to see the Sleeping Buddha. We rushed to the same place and saw the clouds slowly clearing and got a first glimpse of the Sleeping Buddha. Soon the sky was clear, and the golden rays of the Sun lit the Sleeping Buddha. The golden hues on the snow-clad peaks left us enchanted. Our eyes were hooked on the beauty and serenity of the majestic Mt. Kangchenjunga. It was an absolutely breathtaking view. The perfect photo frame of Nature.
